just wanted to ask you guys how much more it would cost to drop a b18c into a 92 eg civic with a carby engine as opposed to the efi?
i already know it would cost around 7k for the whole thing but im not sure about any extra costs or problems associated with carby engine.
thanks

hey u would have to change the fuel tank as carby fuel tanks are different to fuel injected tanks u can use a carby tank but u would not be able to have less than 1/4 tank also u would have to use a external fuel pump with the carby tank i would not recommened using a carby tank as i have done a engine conversion on my civic and iam using a carby tank with the external pump it cannot have any less than 1/4 tank as u go around cornors the fuel goes from one side to the other were fuel injected tank stops this from happening.
All the little things as well like fuel filter and getting rid of all the rubber fuel lines and putting fuel injected lines in

Really not worth the hassle mate
Better off doing the B16A conversion in my opinion :)

there's no difference of putting a b16 instead of a b18 ?
they both require the same amount of work.. so you might as well the more engine with more oomph..
they are both b series blocks, so the eg will still require new mounts..
b16 or b18, he'll still need to do the EFI conversion.. etc.
only difference is the price, but it looks like he has the money..

True, but try getting that through regency - 1.8L into a 1.6L car...
You'd wanna get in FULLY engineered :)

it's really not that hard..
a few people have done the b18 into CRX/EG, and got it engineered..
but if he wants the b18, let him.. let him be unique..
plus, it'll be more of a beast than a b16..
but back on topic..
carby conversion would pretty much include, all the required things from an EFI car (i.e. fuel tank, fuel pump and fuel rails)
+ labour..
