hi,
my g/f has a 96 civic gli and its auto anyway just wondering wats better to do a conversion h22a b16a?? which is less hassle and do i hvae to buy a front cut for a b16a and how much?? i cant install it so i guess i have to ask a pro to do it, my budget is 5k. wat model is best for a 96 ek civic?? i know the front cut price fo h22a. if i put a h22a is there a lot of work done and i know i loose my a/c but that doesnt matter,

Better off buying a Vti-r rather than swapping a b16a into it. Its just too much of a sh*t if its auto. As long as you don’t want to turn corners in it or have power steering the H22a is ok. The chassis requires beating to get it in and it understeers badly.
B18c is probably the way to go if you really want to do it. Should be able to get it done for around 3500.

B18 block+B16 head= poorman's itr is the best!!!!

well if i get the h22a to go to the civic i will get the front cut with the manual gearbox will it fit?? and will it cost alot for 44 to put one on?? i know the price on my accord for a h22a but a civic??

don't listen to anyone, h22a is a better all round engine with much more aftermarket support. it's also much cheaper and easier to install :thumbsup:
my vote goes to the b16a conversion.. however you might as well do what CTR Coupe said.

no way you'll get a h22a in there for $5k why dont you just sell up and get a vti-r
