Toda Spec is 0.2 cold.
i have got a Toda A with power fc.

As toda spec is 0.2, i checked and found mine clearance was 0.17 something, so i set it back looser to 0.2. Then i found knocking lights on and i had to back off timing and lose power.

anyone know whether a tighter clearance or bigger better? for my car i found tighter better.

Will the car go hotter if i tighten the clearance? i heard that too small clearance will burn the valves.

any experience? thx guys

I was sure Toda Specs are at engine operation temperature…. Im sure that’s what the spec sheet says.

Its Safer to have a looser cleaner than a tight clearance.

There is a optimal post thow .2 any less either way effects engine compression thus performance…. Bw did you find out why your car was down on power yet from when we last put it on the dyno at APC

Even stock Honda OEM valve lash is adjusted on a stone cold engine.

Loser = less power. A tighter clearance will net you more power.

According to Toda spec. Valve lash for all cams is 0.2mm cold.

Clearence is 0.2mm - cold (not hot)

Clearence must be checked between valve tip & rocker.
Not between camshaft & rocker. (This is incorrect)

Where are you checking the clearence?

If valve clearences are not correct, correct cam timing cannot be set.

I checked them betweeen vlave tip and rocker. hmm.. correct cam timing.. what do u mean by that? and where can i check my cam timing?
