Hello hello.

Im wondering if anyone in Perth could recommend me or tell me where i could grab a b16a from an Integra XSI and where i could get the engine swapped in.. And if possible.. how much you think it would all cost.

I've been to a wrecker and saw a deal on the engine with 80k kms on the odourmeter but my next problem would be.. WHERE or WHO in Perth specializes in Honda and engine swaps etc.

So if you have any recommendations and such, please post them up. It would be heaps appreciated.

I cant answer that question for u but if thats the original engine just drop it in urself no need to be technicaly minded just make sure all ur bolts and stuff is done up.
But then again if ur not confident then pay some one for it

Honbits in O'Connor would be your best bet. Go speak with Gabe (Gabriel), tell him Mike recommended him for a good deal...

Hes naphiew now has a workshop next door as well called GarageR.. they specialise in Honda Engines, Swaps, Tuning and modifications.

Why not just drop one in from like a CIvic? or some thing like a DC2 VTI-R? or you could always keep your engine and boost it! from what I heard is that the LS engine is better of being boosted coz of its greater torque from it's larger bore than the bore of any other B18B and wont stuff up ya cylinder head coz it aint V-tec! think about it.....

Boosting would be good.. but forcing power into an engine that has done 200,000kms would be doing some sort of damage. And i'd prefer to stay N/A where its more reliable. I was thinking of swapping an engine from DC2 VTI-R but comparing that to an XSI they almost the same. Some think the XSI is faster, but then some think otherwise.

Also.. putting in a b18c would require more labour because of the manifold and transmission (i think) not being completely compatible with 90-91 LS integras. Whilst the b16a is far most the easiest to drop in with only 10hp less. Less labour = less money i have to fork out!

Thanx heaps mike. I might give them a call sometime soon or email them.
