Do you understand the concept behind the use of Nitrous as an alternate to turbocharging?

I can't find the link right now, but I suggest you get a basic understanding of nitrous use in cars, then come back and ask us about solenoids and nitrous purging.

Otherwise we might be here awhile explaining :)

yeah i got the basic understanding of how a nos kit works, and i know that spray stuff is nos, but i wanted to know how to do it, and whqat exactly the soleniods do.

yeah whats your point? cheaper alternative to turbo charging. And if u can read, ull see that i said, how can i do that, i didnt say i want to do that.

"I think I/H/E are too big a step for someone who is on there L's!!"

So you think I/H/E would be too much of a big step for a L plater that is 30 years of age?

Well, let's get some things straight first. NOS is a brand ;)
Nitrous Oxide, or N2O is what it is better known as.

I personally do not know much about N2O, but I can tell you that you will need to reinforce your engine internals before attempting any N2O 'spraying'. N2O is illegal as well.

In 2F2F, the stuff that sprays out of the GTR because he is 'purging'...

I'm sure someone here can give you a better understanding, someone has N2O installed in their car, I forget who..

yeahi know how its installed, and yeah ive read up about the brands and what not, u also get venom, nx, and zex. But yeah thanks for the help neways, and yeah i dont think u need to reinforse your internals, only on direct port nitrous injection, you have to replace pistons blah blah blah. NOt sure though, ne help wud b good.
Cheers

I'll relax buddy. No probs. You just sound like a 16 yr old who's watched too many movies.... all you do is ask about "da runz" and how to make your car go faster. I'd be extremely surprised if you understood half of the terms used in replies to your questions. I would suggest you read up on the basics before you go any further.
...listen to urself...
"And in the movie fnf2, that spray shit that comes out of the gtr skyline, HOW CAN I DO THAT SHIT!!!!"

Ben, Pornstar has HAD N20... in a dc2 VTiR i believe....
think there's a thread authored by him in the Lounge section...

I don't think a BOV will push out as much steam as he did.

I know of someone who has that, it blows leaves everywhere on leafy roads =D

the purge lines are used to ensure that the lines are filled with nitrous only and there are no air pockets or anything like that

similar concept to bleeding brake lines

that must be only for direct injection though correct? because a n2o fogger system is mixed with air.. is that correct? i dont act like i know everythin and i definately dont so dont flame me if im wrong..

honda_fanatic there are also other brands of n2o, there are heaps! another one is oznos

you may well be right, i dont know a whole lot about the different nitrous systems. I would think that it is applicable to all of the different systems, since they will all have a direct feed from the bottle and all get mixed with the air/fuel mixture eventually. Even if it is mixed with air, if th nitrous lines have air bubbles in them it'll mean that the flow isnt uniform and could cause issues in a serious nitrous system

Okay, I've actually done some research and I can answert this questiuon now, because n2o boils at very low temperatures after a while it tends to become gaseous in the lines. the purge makes sure your lines are full of the more concentrated liquid as opposed to waiting for the lines to clear while the liquid n2o makes it's way from the bottle.

means you start faster.
