I enquired about the buddy club kit from carmate a while back and they told me $1700 in total to paint and fit.

Just checked the email and that was back in 6th of Nov. 03.

so i assume carmate is no good... anyways my my friend lives up in brisbane and the only few body shops i know of are jetspeed and fabtech... i guess 2000k is ok, however ill have a look and might be able to find one for 17k painted and fitted... just not from carmate i assume...

ps... are body kits hard to fit if i can get them painted for free...

Nothing wrong with Carmate. The BuddyClub kit owns the Mugen.

there is actaully sumthing wrong with carmate...

two of my friends bought a kit for their CIVIC and TEG and they both didnt bolt up properly and the holes had to b modified to fit them in the factory locations

carmate = ghey

I would go for a Buddy Club kit like I have on my EK Civic.
The Mugen kits r way too common now.

I saw plenty of bodykits for hatches ... is there a big difference say for the BC bodykit for a EK Hatch or Coupe?

There's not different for the front bar. But side and rear, Yes they are Different. ;)

Carmate stuff is made in China and some other cheap asian areas so i have been told. My Mugen Aero kit is made locally in Sydney and has a more accurate mould than any one else. Obviously it isnt 100% perfect like the genuine polyeurathane but its damn good enough.
My rear bar has been ordered and will hopefully be on within 2 weeks.

Have anyone try Vivagarage.com?
Their bodykit is not that bad at all.....

pics will be available in a few weeks when the car is on display at the Perth [Autosalon]
on the 21,22 March.

I got the kit thru a local tuning shop.
Im not sure how much it all costs now because the prices keep getting more expensive.

yeah , VIVA is good.. im gettin my kit from them next week.. put deposit on it alreadi.. they were meant to get a few different kits in last week from overseas.. but they were saying that the container was too full.. so im gonna settle for BC front, mugen sides and freestyle rear bar.....

punhatch

It won't come with paint.......

ekc3
10-03-2004, 10:30 PM
nah not painted.. but gettin BC front, mugen sides and freestyle rear.. the free style rear is the same as the BC rear bar, but its a lip onli..

thinking of gettin the wide body quarters for it soon too.. cost like 800 though,. BTW, the kit cost 1000.... which is pretti good im my opinion considering other places will charge average 1250 for a full kit..
now i just gotta go look for a paint shop to do it now. OR ill consider painting it myself since i have all the tools alreadi...

haha i wouldent go either, ive seen a hyundai excel sporting a mugen one and an ae82 corolla sporting a buddyclub one, naturally i laughed at both owners when i saw them returning to their cars and got death-stares... Not entirely on subject but it does point out that they are whored out. If i was ever going to go away from an OEM bumper it would need to be Backyard/Airwalker or C-west but be prepaired to pay an arm and a leg... although i guess thats why im staying OEM :D
