Ok so i read the b16a thread...but i still have a few questions
i'm considering a b16a swap into a EF crx or a EG civic...
i know originally they came with b16a1 and b16a2 respectively...each having different ecu obd things...would that mean there's any problems putting the b16a2 into a crx considering i got a half cut?
Secondly...which would u recommend?...i know there's been a post already...crx is lighter but less rigidity...but apart from that...is there anything else?...aftermarket support etc. Plus as related to the first question...if i go for the crx...would it be best to source a crx front cut or would an eg one be just as good?...i'd imagine the crx one would be harder to find?
Thirdly...where can i source a shell?...i mean...it should be cheaper to find a car that is in good condition...regarding lights..seats..etc...but the engine is screwed. Rather than finding a running car and then swapping out the engine right?
Lastly...(for now) how easy is it to do the swap myself...and by "myself" i mean in my garage...with minimal tools...and with the help of friends only...I'd need to find a service manual somewhere right?...with all the information and bolt torquing specs...
I dunno...i guess its pretty noob...but i gotta start somewhere right?
Thanks to anyone who goes to the effort to reply...haha
