till running stock throttle body and stock intake manifold.

just remember guys, the car was running -4 degrees camber and heaps of toe for circuit racing, with a proper wheel alignment for drag racing, probably a little more in it.

plus the sussy was setup for circuit which is backwards to drag i beleive.

DynoDave
28-04-2005, 09:01 AM
Ok that is why the 60' is so good with the slicks still a great job Jason and the intake is why MPH is down a bit for that ET.A big  to you and everyone that has helped you get down to these times.

good job mate but this only tells me what is stock not what has been modded!

details like mods, kw at the wheels would be helpful ?

is your cars tripped out or full street trim ??

basically it has pistons, cams, intake, exhaust + all the little bits you need to make it all work together.

I am not going to post power figures cause every dyno is different and should be used as a tuning tool.

JUST a Dc2.....and already chasing down a K20 powered lil EG civic !

Amazing....it would be very interesting to compare both - mods vs price vs power etc etc. Altho , i understand this wont happen for now :)

I just think this time is incredible lol....
Great work Jason !

As Dave said, congrats - but not a real surprise, that damn thing is fast.
With a bit more time and a set of slicks...

ANTI CLOCKWISE POWER!!!!!!!!!

And DMT Dave... it has a looong list of mods. You basically need "the works bro". Not cheap, but pays off, as you can see

fair enough still you would have to be making 180 - 200fwkw to run that time and that is huge power for an n/a 1.8lt

unless of coarse it its stripped out and weighs under 1000kg then you would need alot less power!

i know you said you dont like figures but my car put our 115 fwkw and weighs around 1400kg with me in it and i only managed a 15.4 @ 150kmh even with better tires and launch id be lucky to do a mid to high 14.

still it a great effort

when scrutineered the car weighed in at 1050kg plus my 84kg fat arse...

b series wont make anywhere near that power

1134kg and a high 12's needs to be making some decent power!!

the slicks must make a big difference cause your 60ft time is awsome for a FWD

If you understand drag racing the MPH normally tells you what power it is making for a car of that weight ET's come from the chassis and tyre setups that each car uses it is that simple.

i fully understand that and that is what makes it so impressive!!

he did a 12.9 @ 167kmh
in did 15.4 @ 150kmh

you would know that 17kmh doesnt normally = 2.5sec down the 1/4 so his chassis and tire setup were working very well!

2.5 secs can usually be made up with a really good 60foot time, driver and driving style can make a huge difference..

congrats on the time, it's great to hear more Honda's are getting the ET's down.

I was just gunna say, that skyline must have had bad launch / traction problems, i was thinking maybe a v8, cos look at your MPH reading at the end... it was practically identical, yet you were 3 seconds ahead, couldnt it get traction?

Over the 800m, it probly would have caught up...

Hot time mate, is your car road drivable.. or has it had alot of weight reduction?

So its had some weight reduction right?

So its had some weight reduction right?

well seeing as it came from the factory weighing 1080 or something like that, it only had a tiny bit of weight reduction.

Hot time mate, is your car road drivable..

it drives 99% as good as a stock one. that 1% being the clutch

It would be very interesting to know how fast would it run on street tyres.
what would you say blackdc2? low to mid 13s?
by the way what a great you had.

dc2r
07-06-2005, 03:18 AM
LOL @ 8000 launch...
and it is amazing how the ET for both cars and MPH is so different... 15 sec pass with a higher MPH than a 12 sec pass... makes u think what needs to be improved...

and a comment earlier about if the run was 800m that the other car would've caught up... i don't think so... well at least i don't anyway... coz blackdc2's car doesn't stop at that MPH either... who knows... maybe he would have a faster MPH at 800m than the other car?

congrats on the time anyway...

Da1nONLY
07-06-2005, 11:34 AM
fark... 8k launch....
i'll be pinging the redline if i did that lol....
congrats on the time dude!!
excellent time!!
wish i could achieve those times in my car! =)
