lookin at replacing the stock gearknob from my EG, anyone know the easiest safest way to do so? Theres no visible screws on the knob itself, is there some sort of a trick to removing it?

appreciate the help.

cheers

get a glove or a small towel - and place it firm around the gear knob - and turn it HARD and FIRMLY counter clockwise. it will come off eventually...

that is the way to remove it. I can suggest using a large pair of pliers or moneky wrench , to get a good grip on the knob as well as good leverage to easily remove it.
Best of luck
