i'm pretty sure removing any airbags is illegal and would void your insurance so u might wanna check on that before u go any further

he could be tracking the car or something...however i think not.
even so keep the airbag dude...its illegal and dumb, airbags have saved me at least once...
either way why get a harness go hard, chop the wires, the light will go on, so take out the bulb behind srs in the dash problem fixed.

Just unplug it and the light won't come on, your mechanic is most probably telling you BS. If it does just take the bulb out as someone mentioned -its free, no need for a wiring harness.
BUT DON"T TELL US NO ONE WARNED YOU.:thumbdwn:

The only reason an airbaig is gonna save ur life is if ur at high speed or ur sitting real close to the wheel like some granma

Sorry don't get what you are saying:confused: . Your comment just shows how you will need a air bag. Unless you drive 40km/hr all the time. What if someone hits you head on at high speeds while you are at the lights?
Opps sorry forgot to read your signature:p

i dunno if its true, but ive also heard that airbags have been to blame for a few fatalities too? correct me if im wrong...
in regards to changin the wheel to sumthin that doesnt, i dun think its a good idea:
1 - being ilegal n all
2 - designed to save u wen u have an accident
if u wanna change to something more sporty, y not a DC5R steerin wheel, its new, modern, sporty lookin and has an airbag :)

Yes they have, but usually it is the user's fault. Like not wearing seatbelt, arm across the middle of the wheel, etc....:)

So it's the user's fault if you turn hard to avoid something, then have your arm ripped off by the airbag? I'll have to remember not to reach across the wheel when about to hit something. I'd never thought of that.
I'm pretty sure airbags will save you more times than they kill you.
I wanted to get a nice MOMO wheel for the VTi, but 'tis illegal. And removing the airbag is just asking for trouble! Might look into getting a DC5R wheel, they look like a good wheel. Worth the $$ though?
