Hi peeps. Just a quick question. How much would you expect to pay for a 92 EG Sedan with B16A5 (off EG6). It's done about 115,000 kms and has done pretty much the full conversion. Including dash, climate control, brakes etc. Some of the other stuff are 15 inch OZ racing rims, air filter. Everything else is stock and it's in pretty good nick.

Cheers.

full conversion- inc g/b, y21 lsd, hydro clutch etc? coz that will make a difference.

got any pics?

but i agree with above, i would say 14-16K depending on condition.

but you know you can get your own done for a similar price...

probably reading off his engine..
as the JDMs don't have the "2" of the b16a"2" .. therefore probably reading the other part of the engine number..

how about a EG9 SiR auto, 75,000ks ? how much would that go for ?

tripitaka: its probs worth around the $16K mark since the only way they can come into the country now is personal import and there really isn't many SiR sedans here anyway.

only thing that worries me is the resale of an auto b16a..
as many people would rather rev it out for longer..
but i must say it's pretty nifty during peak hour..

Sorry, Its not B16A5.. just B16A. I didn't see it properly. It has hydraulic clutch, cluster, front lip (off EG9), etc, no LSD for the first series of EG SIRs. The car is actually mine. I bought a whole EG6 front cut and did the conversion. I am thinking of selling it as I am looking to purchase a different car. It's manual btw.

i was previously in a dilemna on which car to keep... it was either the evo or the civic..
i decided to sell the evo as i got more money for it..

i posted both cars up for sale tho.. i have a complete genuine eg6 sir import.
was asking for $14k... since i've had this car for a while now, was too attached to let it go.
so i'd say for one in good nick, you're looking at anywhere between 10-14k.. (IMHO)
others may think otherwise.. but that's what i think they're worth..

oh dear... i had a 92 si eg sedan with the JDM b16a in it, full conversion too... everything from the half cut was used.. engine only had 95000k... and i tried to sell it for 11.5k and no one wanted it!!!

and i had it up for sale for ages... if u look at my car specs u can see exactly what it looked like...

by saying b16a '5', then we can tell that it is from a jdm eg6, as opposed to some other make or model of b16a.

its not right or wrong to call it a b16a5, just that not many ppl will know what you are talking about, coz you are reading the engine #, not the engine code (as said^^, jdm dont have the '2' after b16a on the block).

im thinking that some ppl are also comaparing prices to hatchs, not sedans. sedans will be worth more. and of course a manual is worth more also.
