Hey guys.. just wondering how would be the best way to go about getting an integra without the round headlights..

can this car be imported??
will a conversion be better (i know its expensive, not worried about cost)??

also, any other info on this integra would be greatly appreciated, believe it or not i never new there was a DC integra without the round lights until today!

i love this integra look
just doing some research on this at the moment
thanks guys.

can only be imported through personal imports as they already have that model in australia..

if you want to do a conversion, it'll cost you 2-3 grand for the front cut then a couple of grand to get a pro to do it..

stock will always be better than converting yourself..

as in, we have our own integra here.. AUDM integra..

imports through personal import.. go to japan, own one for 12 months, bring it back..

ahhh i see thanks for that tripitaka, importing is out of the question then :)
thanks for the help dude.

It is one expensive task for a set of headlights but they do look so nice.

the car i think..

but yeah, as panda said..
it's more than just the lights..
you'll have to get a front bumper, lights, fenders, bonnet and a radiator support..
as i said, pretty much a front cut will do the job..

haha i think everyone is confusing him! :D

anyway, the jdm model everyone is talking about the the japanese imported integra type r. it's basically the type r u get here in Aust wif the different front end and slightly better power output. here in Victoria, there are quite a few floating about.... so u have the option of waiting for one to go on sale and get a type r while ur at it, or do the conversion which will cost u 2-3k like sumone mentioned.

i've actually seen a "non type r" jdm model here in Vic, in the western suburbs. i don't think it was a conversion cos the body colour was also different, it was blue (kinda like the dc5r). never had a close look tho...

id prefer to buy a type r than do a conversion, esp with the JDM b18c :) its just i wont be doing it for at least a year, till i have the money and also the availability of getting one. if its too hard to come across one i will be willing to do the conversion, till then ill be doing my saving and plenty of research :)

thanks for all the help, one other thing..

the JDM DC2, what other goodies do they usually come with standard??
they have recaro's yeah?
and does anyone know what sort of a price difference id be expecting if i found a JDM version for sale compared to an AUDM?
i know you can usually pick up a 96 vtir for around $10 - $15k

Thanks for all the help :)

you'd be looking at around 27-28k+
as people who are selling them, KNOW they're a rarity and will sell their car to suit it..
but then now and then you get the occasional desparate mofo who needs money *cough
then, you'll be VERY lucky to get one..

on the topic of non-AUDM integras..
the US got ripped..
no recaros in their acura integra..
here is a pic (http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2000_acura_integra_type_r-3.jpg)

finally AUS has something better than the US

thats expensive, but then, to own a genuine type r would be good. what's everyone elses thoughts on this??

genuine type r worth the $$$ ?

asking a honda biased forum, i think you'd get the same answers ;)
it's just like asking..
ferrari, worth the money ?
or nsx, worth it ?
