Check it out a "Type R" for sale. It looks fairly genuine so whats the go???

I'm an accord man so i dont know how to pick the small bits. It has 5 lugs etc..

This plate possibly is cut n pasted from a written off EK9 chassis ( as all the parts might of been pasted into this local shell) - but then again, only the original "importer" knows if its totally JDM untouched spec :D


until then....who cares? Put the engine in a EG or a ED sleeper and then im excited lol.

I still don’t see the appeal of it; I can go buy an ITR with more cubes for the same price. If it was 18-20 well it might be worth it. Seems a little too molested for my liking anyway.

You cant. Like MOST of the others CTR's in aus, its a personal Import and has a pretty shiney yellow badge on the firewall.

This whole thread really shits me! This is like the 2nd or 3rd time that this car has popped up on ozhonda with people questioning it.

Its been for sale for a very long time even though its had countless people "test drive" it. The very same people who don't even have $100 to their name. it is genunine, the guy is from brizzo and he had a vey hard time to get it over here.

this car's been up for sale before, and we've seen it and know it's real... i haven't seen a "ctr mockup" in aus that wasnt hard to spot as a fake... cos not many exist and those ones that do don't look like this.

yes it's real... this is the single din on the 96-98 spec. only the 99-00 spec ctr has the double din wif knobs for the climate controls. and that tacky looking 'type r' decal is the real deal... i'll show u mine if u like ;)

Why? Because under australian law, which is designed to protect the australian car market and hence keeping more jobs in aus (so dont bitch!), car models cant be imported if they have an australian counterpart, In this case, the EK4. And look, it works how many people here own EK4s when if they had the chance they'd actually own EK9's. It just sucks Honda aus dont care for the younger market.

How? You can still import cars under the 'personal import sceme'. There are a set of rules on the DOTARS web site but essentially, if you own a car overseas for more than a year (and you have to prove you NEEDED it, ie fuel recipts etc) then you are allowed to bring it home with you to save you from any financial inconvenience of having to buy a new car when you get home. Its also seen to be such a small part of the comunity that it wont impact on the car market. Thats why there as few as 20 in australia.

Sorry if some of that doesn't make sense, I have a head ache and didn't get much sleep.

These rims are genuine CTR rims and only if you have a 114mmx5 lug wheel frame, you will be able to put these rims on. Otherwise, can only drool...

james it's 5 x 114.3 like the itr lugs... and no, genuine ctr rims = blardy rare in this country, so haven't seen many ppl have them here.
