After reading many threads there has been much discussion on springs and cutting em, etc etc But yet i am still confused, If there was only a choice of cutting springs or getting them compressed. what would be best??

compress is the cheapest and most safest alternative to buying new springs if u can't afford it

i had chopped springs in my last car... worked fine till i had to make a car corner... the car behaved unpridictibly when ur pushing the limits and i was always concerned the springs were gunna fall out lol

wouldnt do it again.. as prev guys have said, chopping ur springs is very dangerous and u should get the right gear the first time round

buy proper springs

Cutting/compressing can be dodgey dude :(

Ever thought of adjustable coil-overs? Or just want the slammed look?

Look around, there will be some springs somewhere that will fit your car :)

I dunno, when i have my lude, chopped springs worked REALLY well. Even the shop that i took it too were really suprised. No issues. Though all of you are correct.. it is dangerous, and unpredictable if done incorrectly.

Mine was puuurfect!

Depends how hard you drive it, especially cornering...

If you think the juice is worth the squeeze, then do so :D

Nothign wrong with compressing springs abit - just not too much - you need to allow for travel.....

As for chopping - NEVER DO IT!
