Hi Guys,
I'd like to get a broad opinion base as to whether we should inhance the look of the Jazz CAI when it's a production item.
Please also bare in mind anything over raw alluminium finish, though it will make the product more attractive, it will not alter it's performance & will impact on the total finnished price.
That said, the poll options are listed above.
Please vote & feel free to post your comments.
(Behold - an attempt at the impossible, pleasing most of the people, most of the time... LOL)

polishing things like that makes it look cheap.. the raw looks more racey IMO.
plus wouldnt untouched pipe work better at staying cooler

i heard that chrome/polished is better at dispersing heat. thats why most FMIC's and the piping are polished

I think maybe just a light polish as you had suggested the other day - something similar to that of the Spoon strut bar. It's not bling shiny, but it's not completely dull and takes away a few of the "imperfections" to give a more coherent look.
Either that or powder-coat black for ultimate stealth!

i think it would look great in a slightly buffed alluminium finish like jus-10 said. Would look really classy and would make the product stand out

Have a look in this thread http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19733
PS: A shiny / reflective surface will help reflect radiant heat (but that shouldn't be an issue unless you drive around without a bonnet!)

Definetly a shiny or slightly buffed aluminium would look nice.. Raw metal just doesn't look right and look likes a DIY kind of job..
Especially if u wanna market the product.. Looks is part of the equation...
Look at injen's CAI and u should be looking at that as ur target...

I agree with jus-10 with the slightly polished or a powder coated black so it just blends into the engine bay.

Well, the raw alloy finnish is the clear leader at this stage,
So it could be that they will be produced is a raw state & any sort of polish or anodize will be a special order at extra charge.
If you want to avoid this situation, please get your votes in... :)
As we'll be using this poll as our guide.
(NB: Only 4 days to go.)
Cheers
Adrian
