Help Me!

ok look im a loser and dont know shit about shit... sorry for the language, but i need some help haha, ok i bought this civic, cheap as chips, and havnt piked it up yet... BUT id also like to know what size eng it has... forgot to ask... who cars cheep as chips haha, BUT id like to know, so if ANYONE could help a poor kid out, id apreciate it, just help me out PLEASE :) ive attatched a pic and will attatch all the info i have on it;... ok i didnt attachthe pic... it said no and im 2 new at this ahha, ok ill hope to hear from anyone who can help...
Here I have an 88 mod Honda Civic

* Engine No: DISB4 – 1001173

* 16 valve twin cam and twin carb (not EFI)

* Engine runs but idles high and has topend noise.

* 5 Speed manual (gearbox is good)

it has a 1.5 litre engine.

and the engine number is d15b....and its a 1.5l

The idle can be adjusted by turning a screw on the carbies, I'm not sure which one though. I've seen it somewhere on this site before, try searching for it.

my ED has the same problem.... i cant fix it with the idle adjustment....i dunno what it is...be careful

With my racing cam I idle at about 1000, manual car.

Hi Mate

I think you got a SOHC 1.5l twin carb. how sure are you about the twin cam part.
also does the speedo go to 180 or 200km/h for the final digits ???

haha how sure am i on anything? haha not to sure, i coppied thoes from the orignal site i bought the car from, ill tell you more when i pick it up on sunday (Y) haha wish me luck eveyone woo yeah haha

si92 got the car for 780 and it does run! haha everyone said pfft as if it does but im assured it does... goin to pik it up tomorrow haha so worst comes to worst i can spend the other 4g i was gona spend buyin a civic on a new eng haha WOO YEAhj

My 90' hatch (ED) is a 1.5L, CV twin carb, Sohc engine. And my engine is a d15b4 so i'm kinda confused as to why you were told it was a twin cam.

Anyway, enjoy you new ride. :)
