View Full Version : Changed Steering Wheel and Got some Problems

Hey,
changed my steering wheels and got a few probs
1) My indicators no longer self cancell
2) My horn doesnt work
(i hocked up one cable, where does the secon one go?)
(the square is the horn button in the pic)

you need a horn button with a contact around the edge to get the horn working. Like this:

The ground is on the inside of the boss kit. So for this one. I'd connect to one of those contacts in the middle then the one on the edge rubs against the inside of the boss kit. I had to bend it out a bit to make it contact.
dunno why the indicators aren't working.

Your indicators is not cancelling it out is because the boss kit is not reaching to the mechanism that cancels your indicator. Take the boss kit out and add some large washers.

on my prelude, im not sure if its the same the ur car, but i put double sided sticky tape on the thing that clicks off my indicators. and i got rid of the horn thing and made some buttons i got from dick smith that i push when i want the horn.. looks cool

i got a fake momo off ebay, its going on my mates go - kart (metal tech project)
so i just whacked it on my car for a whikle
im getting a real momo for my bday so that why i already got a boss kit (came with the fake)

the boss kit if a decent one should click off your indicators ... you may have found that you've aligned it wrong when putting it onto your threaded colum ... the boss kit should have the threaded hole, and a flat line through the middle of the back...
there may also be a small arrow at the front of the boss kit ... usually put it on pointing up.
