I'm a girl but I don't believe that Civic's are a 'chick's' car. I guess it's described as that because it's a small and compact car which gets easily compared with Charades, Pulsars, Echo's etc. As a girl I got a 1996 Civic because I liked the shape of the car. (I don't really like the new generation of Civic's, they look like a family mover, they've lost their sporty streamlined look :() Don't worry about you're mates with WRX's ... just say at least no one will steal the Civic because it isn't as easy to drive away as a WRX :p

I've driven a 2door Festiva, on the Western Ring Road, for those in Vic, and the thing shakes and moves around like nobody's business. When you hit 80+kms, the steering wheel is outta control. Biggest piece of shit car ever, but then again it has a Fors badge on it1 :P

Although i don't like Fords or Holdens, i reckon they have shit engineering and they need like 56,987,263,872,345.0 litre engines to keep up with like a 3.0l Honda, or any other good car for that matter, but anyway i must say i do like the new XR6 and XR8, look good and r pretty quick.

take in to consideration they are a family car, and weigh alot more. The engineering in the new fords use VCT , similar to VTEC and VVTL-i but without the lift :?

With simple bolt on mods from APS engineering the XRT easily grunts up to 375KW from a standard 240KW..... if you ask me thats pretty impressive, and still using the stock GT40 turbo :shock:

I hate fords in general.... but the BA has turned my head :thumbsup: I wonder whats in stall for the seriesII !

Yes, even fords standard BA falcons have more grunt than the new commodores. New commodores are barely 155KW and the falcon is over 180KW, because of the VCT technology :)

guys u cant compare the engines of the xr6 and holdens to honda's
i mean.. if u put a 3litre honda engine into a xr6' it'll go shit ..
those holdens and xr6's are made mainly to be powerful (torque wise!, yes they're all about the torque)
so before you pay out teh xr6 engine, it'll pprobably blow u off the line

I competed at the weekends Motorvation 2004 car show in Perth.
There were 500 cars on display with 80% being hotrods, v8's and customs.
I was the only honda there and wanted to stick it up em.
I entered my car in the show n shine, dyno, stereo SPL and driving events.

The civic matched and got exactly the same time as a Walkinshaw HSV in the driving events and kicked the ass of most of the field of 250 who competed.
I got 7.5 secs for my driving as the winner in a 600HP GTR got 6.1.
Yes i got lots of abuse from some of the crowd but i dont give a fuk.

I came third in the steroe SPL with 143.2dB with the winner getting 145db.
I won the dyno 4cl NA with a surprising 152.7HP @ wheels.
That drew a massive applause and many raised eyebrows and admiration from v8 boys. This smahed the current holder of 106hp by a 2.2l celica.

Overall, we got the respect and reprazented Honda well :D

152WHP = 183 HP at FLY but your last Dyno Run with colder air temps yielded 134 WHP with I/H/E on otherwise stock B16A2..

Factory-Stock B16A2 is 160HP at FLY so should be about 132.8 WHP given a 17% power loss for a FF drivetrain without LSD.

Redline Oil will not give you 20 WHP power gain !!!

the temps were the same.
The 134HP dyno was at Myaree dyno dynamics whereas this 152 was at Formaz dyno dynamics.
Im not saying redline oil gave me 20HP, but i do agree that something doesnt sound right.
I will scan the graph tonite :)

its cos they are on different dynos man. Different dynos are calibrated differently, the difference causes hp readings to differ, tahts why u always use the one dyno and stick to it if u wanna compare ur own car toi the preivoous mod.

However, i am a little sceptical how my B16A with IHE and redline got 152.
20HP gain is massive regardless if they were different dynos ...
