Hello all,
I have posted up something similar to this previously but im after a direct answer please.

My clutch has gone up and shit itself :(.
My car is a 94' Vti-R Integra

My questions are:
How much is a standard honda cluch?
And how much would it be to install?

Once this is answered lock it up ;)

Thanks

Xtreme cushion button clutch will hold up to heaps of abuse and will set you back about $660 for the clutch face, pressure plate and new bearing. Then there is the cost of installation if you didnt want to do it yourself

ok.. i just recently changed my clutch and:
i got a quote from a Honda dealer.. $450 clutch $660 for labour!
that was abit to much for me for a stock clutch kit...
i went around to N-1 distribution got a Exedy Heavy duty organic clutch kit for $600, labour was $400.. and its much better than the stock clutch..

labour is usually around the 300 mark, depend on cars.

660 is expected from dealers, havent you dealt with dealers before?

I just got my clutch done at Hanny's with the exedy/diakin full face sport organic clutch for $750 . Since, I bought the Toda Flywheel for $600 earlier this year, I got both installed for a total of $1350. Quite seriously, i think they were trying to beat a record for the 'fastest install of clutch/flywheel in NSW' but yeah, only took like 2.5 hours.
The clutch feels great since my old clutch was a total shi*ter, not too much grab at the top. Since, i drive alot especially in traffic, i suggest this one. I've driven 3-4 puck clutches and its either clutch in or out. Its funny cos when you hit bumps on the road and your shifting 1st-2nd or 2nd-3rd, your foot shakes and the car bunny hops and shudders. Even in 1st and taking off, you have to ride the clutch alot. I mean, its good if you on the track or dragin..but seriously, save your money for a S2000! lol...

Btw..who am i kidding...i'm getting whiteline swayies and gas shocks.....RICE fo life...lol

2.5 hours damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that is so crazy! i got mine done in about 3 days but considering we did it after work and had to carry the gear box with rope and by hand tis ok lol You must of been so happy gettin in back so fast to try it out!

If i were u that seems cheap and fast go to hannys!

Did u say stealers?

DIY with a friend and spend the money you would have spent on labour on tools that you can keep.

- Get car up on jack stands.
- Remove front wheels
- Pop the lower control arm ball joints
- Remove front suspention forks (the part that connects the shock to the lower A arm)
- Drain the tranny
- Remove the driver side axle from the intermediate shaft & zip tie out of the way
- Remove the intermediate shaft
- Remove the passengers side axle from the tranny & zip tie out of the way
- Remove the starter
- Remove the clutch slave
- Remove the header (you don't have to do this but it makes it easier)
- Remove the sift linkage (I remove the linkage from the shifter and the stabaliser bar from the motor).
- Make sure all sensor are unpluged and free
- Remove the tranny bolts and drop the tranny

Replace your clutch and put everthing back

hey 250 is NOT a mates rate... its a shop done by a registered mechanic in a shop, not a backyard i must confirm...

Non mates rates and still $250 is damn cheap, which mechanic shop?

I was going to do my own, but at that price I'd prefer someone else to get their hands dirty. :D

This isnt going to be a backyard job... Im guessing he is only chrging me for set amount.
Not sure about the G.S.T, I should ask him when i take it in to him on Monday :o .
Yeah but he maintains and services 10 or so work vehicles that my dad sends to him, and has always been good to me...

Mind you those Mercedes work vans do go in there regularly, maybe thats why he is doing it cheap for me :p , coz of all of the money he has made out of my dad.

Either way thanks for all your help....

LOCK THIS BABY UP
