G'Day,
I am on a tight budget of $500 for audio enhancement in my 2005 Euro.
My question is, would it be worthwhile to change just the rear speakers for better quality and add a amp. Or would there be better options?
Thanks,
Rodney.

not sure wat speakers come in stock, but why not add some good splits front and rear which u can get 4 500! which will increase clarity and then latter get a better headunit than the stock, so u can have some rca outputs so u can get amp 2 sub and amp 2 speakers?
thats wat i would do if i only had 500 to start with?
PM if u want cheap audio gear i have some left over?

Front speakers for Euro cost $500 . Accord to Northfield Car Sound the only ones that fit in the front of a Euro are Focal's at $500 and they would need a amp. The best price on a budget from them was $1200 , that included the 2 Focal speakers, Alpine 4 ch amp plus installation.

I'd look elsewhere if they say they're the only speaker which will fit in your euro. you can always do things in stages, but it's generally accepted that front speakers are one of the more important upgrades in car audio.

He can use the existing head unit to connect to a amp. All he needs to do is get RCA converters. That will do the trick

Serious does that just change like 2 rca out into like 6 rca out?
or does it do it properly so u can change the fading and all that from ur head unit??
but i guess u can change power from ur amp?
is that wat u would do with that?

no it does not change 2 RCA in 6. What the RCA converter will do is instead of running your front and rear speaker of the deck it will run of the AMP.

Basically your front left and right speaker wires that runs of the deck will turn into RCA and so on for your rear. Or if you want you can have the Front to run off the deck and then run the rear to the amp.

You can still do your fading of the head unit

I have no personal experience with fitting speakers into a Euro, but from issue 66 of InCar Entertainment regarding 'Kucing' Euro...

Creating and idyllic front stage are the powerful and sweet-sounding Z6 6.5-inch component speakers in the hidden away in the factory location...

I am in Vic, so i am of no use recommending a shop in Brisbane, but it should be clear that the shop you've been to are not telling you the entire truth; other speaker can and have been fitted in Euro factory locations. Ideally you would get an amp to power the front speakers, but there's no reason to do it all in one hit if budget doesn't allow.:)

Does anyone else know of front speakers that fit in the Euro and are better quality then the already fitted ones and cost less then $500 . Hopefully I would have some $'s left over for a amp and install.

sorry, should have been clearer, just an illustration that others will fit. those 6.5" speakers fit in a Euro so it stands to reason that pretty much any 6.5", or 6" speaker will fit, unless there's something that has a rediculously large magnet poking out the back. See what you can listen to and if you find something you like you should be able to have a custom mdf spacer made so as to be able to install new speakers.
