Hi guys,
I'm thinking about purchasing some aftermarket rims in the near future and I have been inspired by Pum[Z] euro to get some chromies for myself. My car for those of you that dont know is a graphite euro and im going to kit it with the mugen replica bodykit real soon. I was wondering what you guys think about having deep dish chromies on the euro. personally i think they look hot esp. on a car like the euro. Keep in mind that i'm not going to want to go performance on this car, just looks and bling. The only "performance" mods im ever going to do are injen CAI, greddy evo2 exhaust and sway + strut bars.

SO what do you guys think? yay or nay?

my vote - go 19's coz they'd be great for looks. but maybe go for something with a chrome lip and a non-chrome inner. that way the whole deep dish affect stands out a whole lot more without lookin like your trying to hard.

can you go any deeper? because deep dish rims are the bomb baby

I like it but I agree with Chris_F...full chrome is too much nowdays...go the chrome lip with shadow chrome or standard alloy for the spokes.

I'm looking at these rims (Inox-1) for my arctic blue Euro:

There are lots of other deep dish wheels on this site..check it out!

YES!

Hehe.. deep dish rocks. Make sure you get a super agressive offset too (so the lip is flush with the guards if not a couple of mm out of the guards), and stretch the rubber so you dont have rubbing issues. Might need to go custom 3 piece wheels to get that effect (=$$$) but it would be worth it. Would turn heads everywhere you go...

just wanna give u thought, since ure not gonna go for performance, it is POSSIBLE to fit in 20"s on a euro, its been done before and ive seen it with my own eyes and they look tight as hell!!! u might gonna have to roll the fenders though to give a lil bit more clearance, but thats it no other mods needed

Really? I would love to see it! do you know if its a member's car?

The guy at Donellans down here in Melbourne (Preston store) reckons I should go 19s, but I think he's just trying to put the hard sell on me...I reckon 19s will rub like there's no tomorrow!

It is tempting though... :D

i don't think it was a member - i went and stood next to it at the traffic lights for a better look tho :D This guy had 18's and they were the perfect size with the OEM bodykit - 19's is a bit over the top if you don't have a fairly elaborate bodykit to match i recon - ie. mugen + they do hinder performance quite a bit. I went with relatively light-weight 17's for that reason.

They'll look great tho mate, post pics when you get em on, save money and go for the 18's

thats everybody for your input. Just thought i'd get everyones opinion on this cuz i would like my euro to stand out cuz there are just simply too many euros out there. far out. on the M2 tonite, in total i saw 10 euros.....about 6 were graphite. lol
but yeah thanks everybody again for ur opinions. i am def going to get those rims probably in october/november sometime together with the kit and the Injen CAI (hehe a bundle pack :D)

lol.. you're gonna fall behind mate.. i just picked up my comptech icebox.. fitted tomorrow hopefully :D

I can definately agree with you on lots of euro's around, i only see silver/white and black ones around, and lately the odd red ones for the 05 models (looks a hell of a lot better than burgandy).

Not many blues tho :( but that's a good thing - makes me stand out more ;)

oh btw
just wanna know what pple think about this also
would you (personally) get TEIN TYPE FLEX coilovers or would u get eibach prokit with koni yellows?

euro77

I'd personally get the eibach pro-system when it comes out, just because I've heard so many good things about it and it doesn't make the ride worse than the stock. Of course that's also because I haven't heard a lot about the Tein Type Flex compared to eibach.

Stephen: if u do put 19" Bling bling deep dish rims, your Euro will definitely stand out among the crowd.

hehee PNR888 thats the plan!

its gonna be kitted, rimmed and fitted with injen cai all at the same time so when i leave the car, it will be stock. by the time i pick it up, it will be 100000000x better

umm more or less the ones i showed in the photochop pic. but its def. gonna be deep dish

get some custom deep dish volk le37 with the polished lip. i think they would look better with the mugen kit better than the full chromed out rims. then get some fender flairs so that you can get super deep dish rims.

get the teins man they are awesome. I have them and love the fact that you raise them or lower them when ever you like. also when you lower make sure that you get a camber kit for the front and back or else you will go through tires real quick.

cccoltsicehockey got a good point - but volks are damn expensive rims and in 19" that'd make for a very light wallet. CHeck out the design of those wheels they are real nice. Maybe have a look around at other "mugenized" euro's or tsx's and see what other rims are on offer - with rims its easy to feel bad or have post purchase anxiety about the design you chose - theres just so many choices :p

stephen8512
10-05-2005, 05:09 PM
yeah volks are too expensive for my tastes (although it would be nice) and i dont want to flare out the guards either. flared guards reminds me of the KINTO euro....that thing was just off its nut...
plus im not crapping money as im only 19 (turnin 20 this year) and im a full time uni student with a part time job

ive looked at some rims on the TSX forums....and no offence to the americans, but they have such awful tastes in rims. esp. on their TSX's. apart from a select few. i sometimes think that they dont really care about the looks of the rims, just as long as theyre 20" or 21" and dumped on its ass.

Chris, i totally understand what ur gettin at. so many rims, so many choices. But im pretty certain of the rim shape im goin for and after doin my crappy lil photoshop job, it confirmed it for me. Its just a matter of time now.

VIP is definitely the next big thing. Its getting popular in the states now too...

I'd look at getting some second hand jobbies imported from Japan. Just decide on the offset you can fit (measure the current distance and work it out), then hit Yahoo auctions. Oh yeah, you'll need to find an importer though :-(
