hahaha.. ok guys sorry...
Tightening that bolt wont help much CJL. You see the pic u posted up... loosen that bolt.. then there should be a spacer inside that.. if you look carefully at the spacer u should see that its been worn out by the locking mechanism of the top half of the recaro.. what happens is when u have back seat passengers or when u pull the recliner tab on the side and pull the seat forward...you unlock the lock.. and when u let go of it... it flicks back into place.. if you let it do this.. over time it will slowly wear away the spacer... and also over time it just wears due to direct contact of each other....

Method: Loosen the bolt, Twist the spacer around so that the lock from the top half of the recaro has a new seat (spacer section) section to sit on instead of the worn out part... This should work.. it works for me... so give it a go guys....

what i did was wrap black electrical tape around the inside bit where the seat clamps on to, to prevent further wear and tear, it also has a lot less movement

IndoStyler

is this 4 all dc5?? including type r and s???

Boost
10-05-2005, 04:04 PM
yeh.. if they are using the same quick reclining mechanism then it will be the same...
Yeh tape around the spacer will work.. but after time it will get squashed and become flat... and needs replacing again.. but yeh it will help...

the only other way i can think of to stop movement of the seats is to weld the drivers seat up and have passengers get in only from the passenger side. i dont reccommend tho :honda:

Boost
11-05-2005, 12:15 PM
hmmmm... i dont know if many members will be willing to weld....
