EK1/EK4 shocks and EJ8/EM1 shocks

hey guysm i dont know if this question has been asked but i searched and found nothing....

will EK hatch rear shocks fit onto a EJ8/EM1 coupe? are they the same?

Have a pic of the Hatch rears? I can compare to mine to tell you if they fit. EJ8 Rears have the upside down 'U' shape on the bottom of the shock, so it fits around the Rear LCA. I think some cars like EG6 the shock fits inside the hollow LCA.

Has been asked - but anyway.

EK shocks should fit ANY other EK variant.

EK4 = EK1 = EM1 etc.

EK shocks will fit EG LCA's , with slight modification and vice versa.

Here is Pics and Info of Stock Rear EJ8 Shock/Spring. I took it especially for you :p. Length of shock = 500m, Width of 'U' shaped bottom = 40mm.

This is true. They may well fit but although due to slight varience in chassis. The shocks may have different lengths or spring rates? Anyone confirm?

BTW In regards to your question, after checking a friends EK1 Hatch yesterday, my EJ8 rear LCA's are identical thus the shocks should fit.

ek4 and em1 will fit like a glove mate..as my coilovers came off a em1

Yes they are all interchangable. You can tell my mum on me if they don't.
