Hi, since i saw a thread said the real good things about type r is their gearbox (4.7 final, lsd and light flywheel), so if i change the gear box from vtir to type R one,
- is it worth it?
- how much is it around?
- straight bolt on?
or is it better to just get those 4.7final, lsd and light flywheel into the vtir gearbox?

Hehe let me try...... Correct me if i am wrong though
1. Depends, they are going to cost you about $1500(approx?), you will get closer gears, faster acceleration and LSD
2. Oh...... 1500? yes? or 1800? (1800 should inc installations)
3. Straight bolt on
4. You need JDM 1st gear, ring gear, bearing, counter shaft to fit, worth to do it on S4(EK4) gearbox but V4D(DC2 vti-r) gearbox don't have good gear ratio so better just leave it

personal opinion

The bang for bucks on this mod, is getting worse.
You'd be lucky to buy a Type R gearbox for $1800 now... (Let alone installed)
It's a straight bolt on,
Just use correct final drive if using FD so no counter gear changes etc.
