EM1 is the best. If you can afford one go for it.

Guys , reply only if you have one - and have any experience with it OR any known problems etc.
Thanks.

i remember asking the same question abt 1 year ago when i was in the hunt for a coupe...
try a search...
but some of the problems i have been told...sqeaky clutch and it does use up abit of oil after a good thrashing.
beware of the power windows as it tends to stuff up.
Also the car may experience a period of weird idling due to the throttle body or sensors getting abit dirty.
Overall the coupe is a very reliable car, only has small problems which can be easily fixed.
If your going to buy one check for the following. I have experienced these problems with both EJ8's Ive Owned.
- Left Window, Slow to wind up/Popped out of window rail.
- Squeaky Clutch
- Loose, Sticky, Hesitant Throttle Pedal/Throttle Cable.
- Seats have excessive wear. Ie Seams starting to go.
- Input Shaft Bearing (Can hear grinding noise when clutch isn't depressed and is in netural)
- Slow/Doesn't Move seatbelt retracting mechanism.
Apart from that I give my thumbs up to the coupe. Very Sexy!

well i've had mine since new. i don't experience a squeaky clutch nor any sort of weird sounds. just a bit of creaky noises i'm guessing from the plastics in the car. but i dun really thrash mine at all so could be the difference...
u can generally tell if a car has been thrashed by a test drive - but u'll have to test drive a few tho...

Mines a 97 with more than 100k, and I haven't had any problems. Just find one with good service history and maybe a stock one. The VTI's go for pretty cheap.
Its a very solid car, with lots of room for a 2 door. Good fuel economy and is comfortable.

I have an EJ8 '96, done almost 150k.
Only problems similar to KBs are:
- Driver seat seam has come apart a little
- Seatbelt retactor gets stuck (that might be my shoulder pad thingys)
- Clutch is really deep (probably just needs readjusting)
- Windows are slow ONLY when the car is off.
