Hey guys, Inside the headlights of the ek - where the main globe sits there is a reflector that covers the bulb, it sorta covers it from the front...

is there anyway you can remove this - i need to remove it and install it on another set of headlights?

please dont say you have to take the plastic apart from the frame section?

250? **** the headlight will melt... im think im drilling a hole right where the screw is and then screw it off - then plug the hole back up!

Not sure if i wanna take the whole light apart!!!

yes u ll need to take the light apart...not 250 c la... just put it on 50 and check every 5 min ... it wont be hot... just wait till u can feel the silicon melts a bit then u can take them apart...

Iv looked at afew pictures of ek9's - some seems not to have the reflector - maybe it just the way it is and im being alittle fussy???

it still looks good without it - just thought i had to be there - the light seems brighter also!

plz oh god don't take the reflector from ur lights and then rip apart ur PRECIOUS ctr lights for this reflector!!! no need for it there, just probably removes the direct glare of the bulbs wen u look at it front on.

no worries lads :D

Nick... don't think it's a good idea to remove ur reflector. i fink it helps wif ur HIDs... if u remove them, u'll probably be able to c thru the car in front of u wif those blardy beams, LOL. XRAY HIDs YO! :D

I'll try to find that pic of the HID attachment thingy that sum ppl put on... supposed to fix the spread on the ek headlights...

Its actually there to prevent excess glare, the lamp is the brightest point in your headlight, as the lamp does squat but produce the light (the reflector actually distributes the light) they put a glare shield over the lamp to do just that, reduce glare.
