For wheels the can stuff will not be strong enough to resist everyday stone chips and the like. Even a professional 2pac job has a hard time. Powdercoat is the best, and not that expensive.

Me. As long as the wheels are prepared properly with a good sanding with various grits sandpaper , and also been fully degreased too the paitn should last a logn time.

For example, i last DIY painted my rims about 8 months ago - and they look ok still - just keep the wheels clean from brake dust etc they should be fine.

if ur going flat black then u can use "extra tough epoxy" (cos i think thats the only good color they come in).... this stuff was meant to be used for coating the bottom of ute trays, boats and the like... i had my rims on for almost 6 months and never had a single problem, not one chick, not one flake

Use aircraft stripper - that stuff is potent and will take off all the paint you want and then some. :D

I believe so, but really depends on what paing your gonna use, what colour?

If its a red car, go white :)
And if it's a white car, go black :)

There is a place in Adelaide that does powder coating, pretty cheap too

Yeah i have experience this, if the rims re in good nic not much prep is needed. But for better reults give them a good sand.
I used $2.50 matt black spray cans and it is very durable.... Lasts for 6months plus without fading or peeling....

i have a peugeot 205 gti aswell and i had my wheels sandblasted and i sparyed them gun metal grey with paint from a spray can, that paint isnt going anywhere, cos the sandblasting left the wheels really clean and porus so the paint literally soaked in, looks awesome. i had them sandblasted by an industrial place in melb i think they did all 4 wheels for $30 and took them about 5 mins.
i had a quote from a place to powder coat them too and they were going to charge 25 per rim,

powder coating will get you the best finish, you would definately have to have them sand blasted prior to haveing them powder coated
hope have been some help

also before i got any of this done i asked my panel beater and he suggested not to have it done in 2 pak as its very thick. the benifit of powder coating is its really tough and is thin

thicker paint chips off really easy, especially when they are puting on and removing tires

yes be careful when rim places put yours tyres back on after they have been painted cos some are a bit rough and can scratch your new paint.

oh btw
