1) No fluid will be spilt
2) Yes, I would be saying that they would be (although I never have) But I broke one once tightening too much :thumbdwn:

1) No you dont need a new gasket (depends how old it is I guess) Probably be better if you did though

i wouldn't think there is any specifc torque to tighten them at? i just did mine up so they were tight (on a D16y4 btw)... had to take it off to check timing belt... its just a cover, not exactly a vital tensioned part... there will be like a goo in some corners of it, that has to be replaced (can't remember what it was now!) just make sure theres a seal!

1. no fluid will be split.
2. the valve cover bolts need to be tight - unsure of exact torque settings but i advise to hanbd tighten , then + alittle with a ratchet.

When putting back on , dont forget to use some "grey stuff" or similar sealent on both the sparklug cylinder O rings , and also the upper gasket too to seal it properly. Once on , place the camcover on , and lightly tap with a wooden/rubber hammer or a tool and and make sure its firmly in place. Then apply each bolt in opposite sides to even out the seal. *rough guide*

Don't overtighten the vavle cover bolts or they WILL break!

Also over tightening the bolts will cause your valvecover to warp

And if you accidentally do break one, here's how to fix it:

Also over tightening the bolts will cause your valvecover to warp

hence y u need to torque them all and in the specified order

Just buy a brand new Red one... They're not that expensive.
Painted covers always look nasty.

Yes be careful with the bolts, you dont want to strip them. The Gasket is usually fine to reuse 90% off the time. Just add some silicon sealant over it.
