Around a month ago I had to get 4 new (very crappy) tyres. They were Silverstone 205/45/16 only because I was severly strapped for cash and had to get rego.

ANyway, the handling is piss poor after that and my main concern is the rear end which slides out too easily. I was wondering if running excessive negative camber on the rear will help reduce this?

I am not concerned with tyre life so more negative camber is OK.

Will that make a difference given the actual tyre compound is very hard and has a poor thread pattern?

Cheers.

When you said it slides out, under what circumstances does that happen?

Medium to hard cornering........well medium to be quite honest.

Giving the rear more -ve camber will hold a little better, but you tires will not last long at all.

It's probably not worth doing that and wasting the tires, trade them in or sell the tires to someone and buy better tires. Otherwise use them as emergancy tires.
