Noticed this a lot, but never really asked the question. After a while, my whole panel where the A/C and stereo controls are heats up quite a bit. If it was any hotter you could cook small children. anyone else notice this?

Yeah, my radio/AC display gets a bit warm. Doesn't make sense though, as it should be using LEDs which give out little heat.

it is an undocumented feature.. it hot, so that it does not freeze up when you have the air con too cold, in cold weather. :D

Anyone thought the warmth is due to the amp in the HU? I mean, it does have to power the splits and the 6 x 9's in the back.
HU's are usually hot anyway. The hot display is just a result of the HU - which i have a q'n. Anyone replaced it with another generic one? or the best thing to do is just add-on?

Yeah definately the amp. Those suckers create heat like there is no tommorow!
