far out.. V-Tech are a range of infant's educational toys from Fischer price.

If you want a VTEC engine, perhaps go find out what it is, and decide WHY you want one.. there's prob 20 different VTEC engines.. from econnomy, to outright power.. 4-cyl to V6's.. you need to tell us what your car/chassis is, what you intend to DO with your car, and most importantly your budget.

might be easier to go out and get a silvia mate ;)

but as for adelaide, you're lucky I think you got SSS Automotive and also another one that I cant remember the name but they do a lot of honda motors.

Use a Honda P30 or P28 ECU, then you can modify it to be tunable and run 1 of numirous programs out there that can manipulate the ROM

B16A is a VTEC engine already.. and AFAIK EJ8's don't come with it.. unless you did a conversion..

all b series motors would be great for your car
but be expected to pay around 5-6k for b16 and around 7-8k for a b18 installed from a mechanic.

siba,

mad, chrome inlet piping:rolleyes:

you have no idea about anything you say you want to do, i have read 5 or so threads you have started varying from ' i want a vtec engine' to 'i want a b16b' and 'should i turbo my car'. spend some time researching about the basics and stop starting useless threads on all different ideas you have, that you want to do to your car that you have no clue about. Also while your at it, go do yourself a favour and find out how V-tec is spelt!

If you want to be a real sick **** with **** loads of power and a one of kind conversion and budget isn't an issue (which i dont totally belive since you wouldn't have baught a civic) then go all out and buy the BEST VTEC engine out there. The C30A3. It'll be hard to find and will set you back more than the car did but **** it'll hammer :D.

If you could find an Import Type Zero one you'd be set to run low 12s stock.

By the way you already have a VTEC engine. You just need a better one... OR you could buy Dr4g0n's turbo kit and you will make good power.

And if you want to get taken seriously you'll need to know that its spelt VTEC(Variable Valve Timing and Lift, Electronic Control) not V-tec, Vtex etc etc (for some reason they all get really uptight about it on OZhonda, it shows you're a nuebie). Oh well.

But yeah seriouly Make a Post about what YOU WANT out of your car's performance, then people can give you ideas of achiving it. then you can research each option and decide which is best for you.

aahh, nissan vs honda *thinks of top model honda(type zero) Vs top model nissan(r33gtr)* Good to see the Rb26dett POWARD GTR getting raped by the NA 3lt VTEC NSX.

Yeah, what ECU-MAN said
EJ8, sohc vtec
If you're looking for parts from America it is called the EX and SOME parts from the SI(dohc) will also fit.

Have you got any pictures of your car? What colour is it? Don't see many coupes in Adelaide.

oi..dont be biased:(
nissan and honda are both very good cars.
just bcuz u drive a honda dont ditch other manufacturers cars.

anywayz for the topic
1.Your a Noob it's VTEC not V-tech
2.you do not have a B16a u have a d16
3.b16a's will cost around 3g's in a half cut.
4.chrome isnt always the best
