Hey

Was going to have a look and adjust the valves on the car sometime this
weekend and was just wonder if these specs are correct for a standard b16a1

-Valve should be adjusted when head temp is under 38 degrees (cold)
-Intake 0.15 - 0.19mm (0.006 - 0.007in)
-exhaust 0.17 - 0.21mm (0.007 - 0.008in)

Thanks

scott

the side that attaches to the EXHAUST manifold is the EXHAUST side

the side that attaches to the INTAKE manifold is the INTAKE side

if you couldn't work that out - PLEASE dont try to do a valve adjustment yourself!?

You'll need a proper tool (or a ghetto spanner ) to do it on a DOHC VTEC engine. You can get by on a DOHC-non VTEC engine though.

Very scarry when ppl who are about to work on the engine talk like that.

no, it is much more precise than that, and fiddly!

if you fuk it up, you risk bending valves at worst, and screwing your idle/power/economy at best
