I just want to know if anyone has any pics of eg civics with a del sol front end. Just want to see how it would look and how compatible the two cars are and what needs to be modified (guards cut and joined, radiator support changed etc). If anyone can help me with pics or info i would appreciate it cause i am thinking of taking my eg sedan off the road for another rebuild. Thanks

i'd think the process is similar to what you've already described... but i've never done it.

Overall I like the look of it. I don't think I like the main headlights. Not sure. Just something about it. Might grow on me though.

dont like it on the coupe... would look good on a hatch I imagine.

to put an eg front onto a sol you need to change the bumper, lights, hood, radiator support and use sol fenders and eg fenders, cut 'em in half and weld together... I would presume it would be the same process in this case

yeh looks good... not as extreme as an ek front on an eg or anything
im not one to modify body but i dont mind it at all

Thanks for the replies that pic looks good. It will be going on a eg sedan. I just have look into it a bit more but it is definately something i would like to do. I expect there to be some custom work so thats all good. Anymore pics would be appreciated.

you dont need to cut and weld the fenders

the del sol fenders will bolt straight on

and the radiator support is exactly the same.

you would need to change guards, bonnet, headlights / parkers, and bumper

that is all.

That conversion is f**king gay. That's blasphemy for an EG driver. the stock eg lights look so much better than the del sol.. it's such a small girls car. The oldschool CRX is square but i'll give it the 'tough' look factor.

how about accord euro front end?
something newer and unique (assuming no one has done it here in oz):D

as sexy as gen2 crx's are a gen2 front does not belong on that car, it would look even worse than the del sol:rolleyes:

It looks to much like a toyota soarer, though it would look alright on a EG hatch like many have said.

I wasnt meaning put a CRX front end on i just meant del sols are gay. and that i don't mind the old crx. I really wouldn't want to see a crx front on an EG either lol :)

Nah don't like it, makes it look a bit gay. Del sol front end should stay on the del sol.

I have seen a seen it done the other way around, didn't mind the look of that. Will try and dig up a picture of it.

 Agreed. The only one I like is the EK front end on the Del Sol, but I wouldn't do it cause a del sol isn't a del sol without the aux lights :p

I don't think it suits too well, I would rather put JDM ITR headlights on a civic EG and it is alot easier too, just make the Eg parts fit the new headlights.
