Hi people!!
i got a 96 civic if i do an engine swap say a b16 or b18 in my car i dont have to get a engineer certificate for it. But if i swap in a H22A then i have to get one do you know how much does it cost or what im saying is right???:confused:

about $250 up depending on how much you are certifying.

I believe if you do not increase power by more than 10% (like they know), but if you increase displacement then you will need a Eng. Cert. also if the engine never came out in that car.

Then you just get a blueslip and all will be fine

You will need a certificate if you put a b18 in as well. The certificate is needed when you upgrade more than 200cc. Your SOHC motor is 1590cc and a b18 is 1797(207cc difference).
