i saw one really nice on a s2000...

What do you mean by 'darken the headlights'?
Do you mean tinting the lens? Or do you mean this? (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19324)

Original JDM CTR are smoked - they are not black/dark tinted!
