yeah, its been around for ages, haven't heard anything on it for a while, and its dropped off the "coming soon" list in MOTOR. I'm a big fan of that desgin, but god there have been some ugly ones. I've got another article here on it but its in german, so if anyone can translate i'll happily email it over.

Like the article says - no brainer. I love the CRX's and to this day do not know why they stopped making them. And it's a tidy looking ride as well. And you say there has been other designs? Post 'em man so we can have a look :D

I just looked through my files, can't find em. From memory they weren't official, just some ideas of what a 4th gen CRX could look like. One was based on the Acura RSX (looked good) and the other on the Insight (looked arse).

The b16a has also had its production line stopped hasn't it? If so, they'll have to decide on something else...

The Del Sol (4G 'rex) killed the real CRX :( The first and second gens looked fantastic - the concept would never hold up to them.

I agree, the 2nd gens looked schmik!!!

CRX was the colt car of the 90's, and in my opinion would have inspired some other models of cars we are seeing today :)

I reckon this conceot CRX looks pretty good. Wouldn't say it looks as good as the Del Sol, but really that's gonna be hard to beat. I'd like to see pics from other angles though - looks similar to a DC5 Tegg at the front but more compact... :D

I'd buy one fo shizzle, but probably drop in a K20 or a K24. Looks mad so far, but then we prolly won't even get them here.

I also reckon that the idea of bringing back the CRX is prolly a bit useless, since we already have Type Rs which are supposed to be the lightweight monsters....

Yes, but a Type R still weighs what, 1100kgs? Whereas the idea for the new CRX seems to be of a more minimalist stance, at 800kgs. As long as the pricing was competitive I reckon it would sell reasonably well, and would sit well amongst other small cars as the Clio Sport, Corolla Sportivo, and so on.

Yeah, but.. ok, maybe

If it is more than $40K it would be a ripoff. ADM ITRs should be $40K now to beat off WRXs, and the CRX should be $36-38K

McChook: I would have pushed it even further down into the low 30's, say 33k, otherwise yes, it would be too close to the ITR.

i heard that this CRX will use a type r engine, not sure though or at least a 1.8 v-tec

The engine it would most likely use will be a K16, currently under development... It has to be a big enough difference between the ITRs in capacity

I like it judging by that article! But have to see one in the "flesh" i guess... If they ever make them, and bring them out here... I might be pulled away from my beloved EG :P
