I'm looking to sell my present rims and do people normally sell all 5?
if i purchase the after market rims, which are 18", that means that i will have to do without a spare?
what do people normally do??

sell the set of 4 and keep one for spare incase something happens to 1 of your new wheels - or sell all 5 and buy a space saver for a spare!

i'm located in nsw.
i'm present about to order my new rims.
if i keep 1 of the present rims as a spare, will it be weird if i have 3 18" and 1 17" if one of my tires blow or something?
how much are the 17" worth? i might put them up on ebay, since i'm not sure how much they are worth.

well, if I am getting your OEM wheels as an Euro owner, I will buy all 5 17" wheels, and trade the space saver wheel to you. with 5 wheels, people can do wheel rotation. Since you are not getting 5 aftermarket 18" rims, so it doesn;t matter what size the spare wheel is... the spare will be different to your 18" anyway, no matter its 17" or space saver (unless you want to buy 5 aftermarket 18", and put one in boot as spare.
BTW, can you pull your 17" spare wheel out of the boot and weigh how heavy the OEM 17" is???
Thanks

It would look weird but it would not make any danger to your driving condition (especially if compared to using space saver!). This of course provided that you have the same overall diameter between your new 18" and the stock 17"

should be accurate enough. you don't need to go to the grams, just kg is sufficient:D

depending on the cost you want to sell them for, I can organise freight etc so you wont have to leave your house. Just need the post code.

A. get your biceps working, hold the 17" OEM spare wheels (rim with tyre), and jump on a normal bathroom scale, get a reading.
B. then weigh your self (naked to get true weight :D )
A. - B. = weight of the 17" OEM wheel. (rim & tyre combo)

i have weighed the rim+tyre. its bout 16kg. its not very accurate as it didnt sit well on the weighing scale. will prob get another scale to weight it if necessary. check out my sig.
