A friend of mine bought a 91 Prelude from a dealer today.

After he got home, he switched off the engine. (duh) A miniute or tw later, the radiator fan came on for 5~10 mins. He rang up the dealer, he said its normal for Prelude because it was designed to cool down the engine?!?! Is it true?

you will see a sensor mounted on the firewall near the intake manifoild, this was added as a recall later to the car to make the fans stay on.

engine bay temps were getting pretty hot and killing batterys premeturely

On one of those 43 degree days I drove my cara round for about 2-3 hours with air con on whole time, and when it came to turning the lud off, the fan stayed on for 13 minutes or so.

Alarm and third gen don't mix because of this problem.

Its just the thermo fans, they usually come on after a big drive or on hot days, and can stay on for about 15 minutes
