curiousity as per usual, exactly what does a strut bar do for a car and where/how would you install one?

strut bar increases the stability of the car, hence the handling of the car.

There are front strut bar, rear strut bar, and there are sway bars as well (I don't think they are the same).

I don't remember correctly, but I think front strut bar for fwd will reduce understeer. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

stiffens the car up, better for cornering :D

front strut bar alone on a FWD will increase the contact of the front tyres and stiffness - but also will increase understeer.

its best to get both front and rear upper strut braces, to make the car more stiff , but more neutral at the same time.

The best lil thing to decrease understeer and (increase) oversteer is get a rear OR thicker rear swaybar.
