Engine conversion in old Lude

My mate is wondering how much and how difficult it is to transplant a h22a vtec motor into an old 89-90 model prelude. Now before u say get a VTI-R, he loves the older style preludes because of the character they have. Ive done a search but i didnt really get the answeres i wanted, so if any of you guys/gals have any useful info on the conversion, please let me know
