I got a 97 CXI... given it a fair work out between 'drags' and mountain runs... hasnt let me down at all.. not one mechanical problem in 2 years.... with regular servicing of course.

As for rebuilds.. can't help you.. but I will be interested for future myself :p

manuel or auto? Cost comes down to ur driving habits ofcourse, they can take a bit of strain tho

take care of it man, and itll last forever, my mate has one and can hold its own in some higher 'ranking' hondas.

nit bad if u want a civ on a budget, some well thought out mods r needed tho.

like it has no swaybars and tacho i think, and drums BAH! lol

apart from the no tacho thing (can be a pain sometimes)
the cars pretty reliable
driven one for two year with regular servicing and put about 40-50,000ks on the clock but its still running fine

HAHA.. no way it'd run an 18 second 1/4...

I've unofficially raced a Pulsar n13 hatchback.. several times.. each time beating the guy (a mate)... he did a 16.9 run...

anyone else have some more accurate times????

The d16's are relatively quick with some decent mods like underdrive pulleys, intake and zorst ;)

Common problems associated with CXI's?

Firstly, there's NO TACO, and secondly, there's the drum brakes..

LOL, jk, heard pretty good things about them... im guessing they're alright, never seen one broken down on the side of the road which is a good thing.

Having no tacho is frustrating yes... but fixable if you wana buy one and install it.. Something that's getting to me now is the fact I don't have a sunroof... but i'm sure thats not a major problem for everyone... super car otherwise!
