urghhh... that interior is hideous! must be the same company that did britney's pink hummer LV interior!

but seriously... i think clear lens (if done properly and without measle spots) would look awesome on the euro... IMHO!! would definitely make the rear match the front abit more :D

omfg.. nuked!

im not so sure about clear lenses tho.. i know on some cars, very nice, not sure bout the euro.. perhaps if it was the carbon fibre taillights.. then it might look good - avoid the chrome clear look :)

stephen8512

carbon fibre taillights? hmm not sure if i've ever heard of such things
VirIIx, do u have a pic of another car with this type of taillight installed?

it's not exactly carbon fibre.. it's just the name, they refer to this i believe becuase of the black body - like having a (black) carbon fibre hood.

let me show you some pics from ebay based on the dodge neon (my old car - which i had altezzas on too :p )

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/mo/moneperformance/lt_neon_02a_y_m.jpg
above is your normal typica altezza - with a chrome/clear look

below is the same altezza but in a carbon fibre style - the black.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/mo/moneperformance/LT_DN03F_YD_M1.jpg

depending on the car and the style of the headlights you have to match them up well. Some people have no sense in style :b

but i'd personally think if altezzas were available for the euro, it would look better in the carbon fibre style. the clear chromies would just be awful on it..

but that's just me :)

the black one looks alright, doesn't look like an altezzas :D

Any pics?

{edit} found them. They are just tinted though.

I'm talking about full opaque vinyl ftw

stephen8512

holy thread resurrection batman!

yeah they were tinted but it was a vinyl tint, not spray on tint. Thus, it could be removed easily if i ever wanted to sell the car (which i am =D )

wats full opaque vinyl?

P.S DAMN i miss my car =( but hopefully the new beast will make up for it ;)

EuroDude

Opaque means non-transparent. In other words the vinyl is completely black so no red is shown at all.

I wouldnt do the outer ones as well though, you need some red for daytime so other cars can see red at the rear for safety reasons.

IMO that would look a bit strange....having full black on a graphite euro like urs and mine would look a bit....blah? but each to their own

just so u know i never once got hassled by cops regarding the tints. cuz at night when the headlights are on and the rear lights come on, it still didnt compromise the red light all that much, same with the headlights at the front.

if u want full opaque vinyl, itd be better if u did the whole rear lights instead of sections, but that would be a defect as well as very dangerous

EuroDude

My Euro is black so it would look alright. You would use graphite coloured vinyl to match the paint colour. It looks a bit strange now because ur not used to it, but I think it looks ok, especially on a Silver Euro

Are you sure that is full opaque tint? If it was full opaque, then no light would get through when you pressed the brake pedal :)

EuroDude

^ you would cut holes for the round lights, only the non lit surrounding areas would be covered.

Something like those you see on WRXs and IS200?

Cutting holes in an opaque black film on a black Euro would make your tail lights look like those from an R32 skyline.

What classy car? The Euro is just a bread & butter/cooking model Accord in Japan.
