View Full Version : Just signed for Euro Lux Man!
Hi guys,
Just signed for a 05 Euro Lux Manual (Silver). Car is sitting at dockland storage and delivery is expected at 2 weeks. (Previously had a S15 200SX, currently driving wifey's 2002 CRV).
Options: Rear boot spoiler, Metallic trim kit, honda mats, front and rear mud guards, cargo net, slimline plates.
Hope things go smoothly from here to finally picking it up. :)

Congrats on your purchase! Remember to post piccys of your interior silver trim for us to see!
Thanks Aaron. Someone here has already posted pics of their metallic trim. I got the metallic trim for the CRV too and it did a good job of taking some of the too-much-black-and-thus-boring appeal.
Congrats on your purchase! Remember to post piccys of your interior silver trim for us to see!

Good buy V205. Another Euro can join future Melbourne Cruise... KL1368 said to me the other day at Queensland Raceway that he sees about 30 to 40 euros on road everyday in Melbourne! & Brisbane doesn't have that much Euro.
I said to him, I see about 4 or 5 a day, I think that's alreay a lot.. Man.. Melbourne must be capital city of Euros.
V205, You will love your Euro even more when you pick up the car. Enjoy it.
When you guys go to pickup your new car(s). Do you test drive it first before handing over the cheque??

i highly doubt they'd let you do that mate.. unless ur contract had subject to new vehicle test drive!

I didn't... I think the dealer wont give you the key until you hand them over the cheque.
There shouldn't be any fault on new car.. but do inspect the car very carefully and thoroughly before you drive the car away (eg, scratch or dent on paint work, bumpers, rims & scratch or damage on interior, & dont forget to check if any dirty roof lining too).
But I guess some faults will need more driving around to find out, if there is any.

when my family bought the car, they dealer offered 3 day test period, which states if you are unsatisfy with the vehicle within 30 days and clocked under 300kms.. they will give back the full amount you paid....
hehe.. it was quite a nice thing for the dealer to show their confidences......

Sorry, a bit OT, but can you complain about this after the fact. i picked mine up 2 weeks ago and noticed a few dirt marks around the drivers and passenger A piller.

So the general consensus is that if the deal says 3 weeks its more lile 1-2w weeks. Woot! I suppose they goto allow for one xtra week as a contingency..

When they bring your car to you, before you hand over the cheque, you check EVERYTHING. Any little niggle that you are not happy with, let them know. A scratch on the console? Let them know. A little dirt mark? Let them know. Unless you are willing to live with it, let them know.

My car ready to go within 1 week. But I chose to wait a month...
When did you guys pickup your car and what build date (not compliance date)was it? I'm wondering what the lead time between build date and delivery dates are normally.
Would those people currently getting their cars in the next few weeks be getting build dates of Jan-Feb or more like Mar-Apr?

I picked mine up in late Feb and it's build date was late Dec (from memory) so you should possibly be looking at a Mar-Apr build date, just depends how long it's been sitting in storage.

This was a year ago my build date was May 04, took delivery mid June 04. Probably not much more than a month between rolling of the line and the key's being handed over.

Wow. I assumed that when the dealer said 3 weeks that the car must have been at customs or something. Can it really be brought from japan in one month? I thought it would take 2-3months..

oh and the wait on mine was 3 days hehe
Doesn't seem to be having much of a wait then... but I'll wait till I get my car to say that in confidence. :)

Well maybe when they said 3 weeks it was still in japan?? They said it was "available" but frankly I got no idea what that means. I assumed, clearly incorrectly that ot would take 5-8 weeks to ship from japan given distance, build and customs etc
Wow....you win! They must be shipping them on some fast boats...
Build date 05/05.. picked it upo 27/05/05 :D

V205 congrats on your euro purchase! and a belated welcome to ozhonda :D
you are going to love your euro. I've had mine for just over 5 months now and have done 6800kms. i am loving it. already have a mod list that i plan to finish within 2 years time. VTEC engagement is just bliss
lol i seem to be going the other direction you though. im thinking about maybe an S15 or an RX7 later down the track, but thats probably because im young and immature :o hehehe. But who knows. if all goes well, i might keep the euro and have the other car as daily driver :D
