Hey guys, just checking to see what the difference is in oils are with the same rating.

For example Magnetic 10w-40 and motul turbolite 10w-40.
magnetic is $30 and motul is around $60, is there a great difference in protection given that one is double the price... just need same ideas

thanks

the castrol magnetec is mineral oil - crap from what i hear and breaks down very quickly.
the motul is synthetic(or semi at least) and much better quality

is Castrol Formula R oil any good? I only try the 5w-30 oil, can feel the car drives alot better but get dirty after 3000kms.

Anyone try the Castrol R 0w-40w oil?

NEVER use that magnetic crap in any Honda engines especially VTEC..

think abnout it.. if it DOES actually stick to your engine parts 'to prevent weaar on startup' or whatever, that means come oil change time it's gonna be nearly impossible to get all the dirty (magnetic) oil out of your engine..

that's my theory anyway..

as for viscosity ratings on oil, how about a STICKY on engine oil as recomended by HONDA per specific engines ?
