Exhaust quietened

Hey guys
i just got a pod filter installed yesterday instead of the factory honda intake, and the exhaust now sounds quieter and a bit deeper. Is this a common thing or is there a problem?? I have a 1.8" engine back piping, but still there was a notisable drop in sound volume.

more likely thanks to the increased noise from your intake, that your exhaust just seems quieter. it may be slightly deeper tone in your exhaust, but i'd say it's the good-ol' placebo effect.

yeah mine did the same thing. I dont know the actual reason but im assuming it is because the engine is getting a lot more air, and so is running a lot better than before, producing a deeper sound. Of course when i say better theres a whole explanation behind it, but i couldnt b stuffed, and sum1 else coulp probably explain it better! But yes it is normal, and it sounds sweeeet.
