Hey guys..
just wondering.. what year did hydro clutches come in EG's??
also, hydro clutches are the ones needed in an EG if doing a b16a/b18c swap yeah??

i know if u buy an early model civic like an Si, you gotta change carby to EFI, but the clutch would also need to be changed with this model from cable to hydro yeah?? If so is this an expensive/difficult change or would it be pretty much an easy straight swap over with a hydro clutch from a half cut?

just wanna know what the earliest and cheapest EG would be to purchase if doing a conversion, maybe better to buy like a 93/4 if it has hydro clutch and EFI, saves money in the end...

thanks

hang on? so you wanna know which civics had a hydro clutch standard so its easier for the conversion?

normally when you get an engine for the conversion it will have the tranny on it.
an SI has efi allready too. its only the carbie models which you have to replace the fuel systems in such as the breeze or gl

for example. my car is a breeze and has a b16a2 conversion with a hydro tranny, the gearbox came with the engine, the hydro equipment is now in my car along with the engine and gearbox.
correct me if im wrong guys but i think the only civics which came with hydro clutch were the siR, vti and si........ not sure

the first generation of "EG" was called a EH ( correct me if wrong) - and this came in 1991. Came with the d16a8 and breeze/gli variants....all of which were hydraulic clutch operated.

So....1991 :)

I'm not sure if what you say is true as my civic vti sedan is an EH and was produced in 1994. I thought that EH's referred to eg sedans, *shrugz*
