Hey guyz... bought a short shifter for my LS... have recieved it... stripped my cars interior to get to it and realised you dont replace it from the top...

Have done my research and found instructions on fitting the thing... hoist car up, remove that... etc... Just wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost if a mechanic can do it?? Sounds lazy but i dont have the time, tools and get my car up there at the moment... and i want i now!! haha

Workshops charge usually by the hour - around $50-80 per hour. SO , as logn as it takes to install !

IF you want a DIY hand - PM Wynode on this forum - he did one himself recently, and no doubt would cut you a cheap deal :)

I got one for my car and fitted it my self
Is the shifter you got for a da9 or just generic integra/honda one
the one i got didnt have my car listed as per but i thought they are all the same but they are not
you will have to drop the exhust and heat shields
after fitting it into my car it was wiping out on the exhust and heat shilds coz its designed for later models and has a differnt length on it
it took me 2 hrs its very uncomfortable on the ground
in the end i got my exhust changed (Shorter Hotdog) and removed the heat shield

yeah took me about an hour to fit mine on my DC4.

have a go at doing it yourself though dude. theres alot more satisfaction in knowing you did it yourself !

its not that hard mate. i think the worst part is fitting the plastic boot thing after greasing it up cause the grease just makes it harder haha

thats just my opinion though

whichever way i hope you have fun with it hehe
