CRV is not bad as a family car but like above....forester GT if u want power... but as a people mover... i guess CRV better...it's much more comfortable IMO i've been in a forester and i don't realli like it in there..

Forrester you dont get the extra leg room as you do in the CRV..

the gt forrester runs the same 1/4 mile time as a stock ss which is around mid 14's.
i have driven 2 different GT's one stock one worked a little bit, fun car to drive driven many crv's working at honda washing cars have good leg room but id prefer the GT

Hey,

I used to have CRV (02) and i found it great to drive...not mod friendly IMHO either, but certainly has some go when and if you need it...plus its honda

but if you want more power i would think forester wins hands down...i personally not too happy with forester interior either, prefer the CRV's...

cheers

thanks for the comments on the grill. Just wanted to make my V stand out from the thousands out there :)

Funny someone mentioned the "fridge". I got one imported and retrofitted to my V. Its a very simple job and here are my pics.

I got it from www.maxdax.com who is a guy in Sinapore. Really nice fellow too.

From memory it was about $50AUD. Its a straight swap with our console hole and all you have to do to feed air into the box is to cut a small hole in the air con duct above it.

yeah it seems he has taken it off the site. Just email him though as he just buys it from the local Honda dealer there and ships it to us. I'm sure he can get one for you if you are interested.

I am going to trade it in very soon, probably for an Euro.

Its a shame as I will miss the incar system definitely. :(

I used Destinator3 for PPC, however this has been "tweaked" to work on WINXP :D . Dont ask me how, becoz its not right to talk about here. www.mp3car.com is your friend!

thanks :p

i paid $350 for the ipaq pda...$130 for the gps receiver..$18 for the pda windshield mount...the pda car charger i got for free..and the software...destinator 3 software..i got for free (won it in a competition)..

i know its cheap because i didnt buy those standalone ones..but the pda gps sat nav is a better solution for me as i use the pda for uni and for when im bored...

Love the fridge!

Lepperfish: I read your post regarding GT forester which I assume would be 2nd hand as the new ones are XT's. Which model of CRV did you have in mind?

question for CRV owners

can the spare wheel on the back be simply stolen? ie picked up? and if so, how do we keep the damn thing locked down?

yes it can be stolen. The best way to protect it is to use security nuts on the spare so they cant undo it from the tail gate.

i just noticed it...but the CRV's engine is the same as the Odyssey's

why oh why didn't honda put in a much more powerful engine...somewhere between the current one and the MDX's?
