Hello, I have a DC2R and have bought the SPOON drain bolts.
I would like to get some advice on what ppl in this forum think is best.........
small & large.......sump or tranny

What drain bolt(s)... the oil pan drain bolt? please clarify what you are asking

yeah, "SPOON Magnetic Drain Bolts for Sump & Tranny"
there is a long one and a short one.
Which would be used for which?

I wouldn't bother about the tranny bolt personally. Reason being is that the tranny already has a magnet in it to attract metal shavings.

Just get one for your sump.......that's all you need :

Yeah Wyn, but they come as a pair. Why not put it in next tranny-fluid change? Plus, my Tranny bolt in the Type'R' wasn't Magnetic.

Ahh fair enough.....might as well get both then :)

THe magnet is actually inside the tranny. Here's a coupla pics :)

Agreed. But its not something you would have to clean all the time........unless one of your bearings blew up or you can't drive for shit and keep grinding the gears!
