Hey guys, I've just installed a whiteline 22mm swaybar and tie bar for the rear on my EK4. Now whenever I am driving slow on certain types of surfaces, ie. slightly slanted or imperfect roads, I get this knocking/creaking sound from the rear??
Any of you guys experienced this before? I got it installed at Hanny's, will take it back to them on Monday if I cant solve it by then, otherwise, hopefully someone has experienced this before and can help!
Any help or suggestions appreciated!
Thanks,
Tony

Tony, check the endlinks and make sure they are tightened up correctly and more importantly the correct ones :)
have a read/look at these two threads:

Creaking can occurr due to a lack of (sufficient) lubrication of the bushes.

Neither. Use proper polyuerethene lubricant ( *spl) - anything else will erode away in no time and the noise will come back ASAP.
Tony , possibly just needs a retighten and relube. Did you retighten everythign after 100-200kms use ???

wojtek didnt do ANYTHING to fix my problem - only replaced some parts which were dodgy/misplaced in the first place.
"My" problem , stems from previous accident damage + age ( chassis and metal clunking etc)
Tony , the main bushes on the subframe / reinforcement should be well lubed inside out -basically where ever there is metal to rubber contact :)
I hope robbie and peter didnt install ur swaybar upsidedown...post up a pic man ! :)

try retightening all bolts and maybe relube the bushes at say 150kms after installed - SHOULD rectify the problem :)

Guys, here's a pic of my whiteline 22mm adjustable swaybar and lower tie bar fully installed correctly and working a treat. (notice the up-side-down sticker on the sway bar - they originally installed the whole sway bar up-side-down coz the sticker threw them off......hehehe)
